Regal recently completed a major offsite healthcare project for University Health Network providing mechanical & electrical engineering services.
The project entailed complete interior retrofit of a three storey circa 1940 multi-tenanted commercial building into a 24,000 sq.ft. community health clinic comprising patient examination, procedure, consult room, staff amenity, support conference and administration space.
As the first major ministry funded clinical project of this type for university health network. Regal’s responsibility was to ensure that all the recent updated requirements of Ontario Building Code, CSA standards and the ministry of health requirements are met in the electrical, plumbing, HVAC design and construction documents and specifications.
The existing air handling units servicing the building were replaced with new air handling units to meet the air change requirements as per CSA Z317.2-10.
